Using callthrough saves phone charges and even allows free calls. Call FRITZ!Box with your mobile phone and get forwarded to another number. You will need two lines for this feature, like e.g. an ISDN access.
If mobile calls to your house line and outgoing calls within the land line are generally free you will therefore be able to make free calls via callthrough.
Callthrough has to be initially activated in the user interface of FRITZ!Box.
Enter the phone number used in the FRITZ!Box user interface as incoming phone number.
Enter the four digit numerical PIN used in the FRITZ!Box user interface.
FRITZ!Box needs a dial pause to process the callthrough and to provide the line. Usually, one dial pause is sufficient.

However, the configuration of the control file is described here.
